Autumn is my favourite time of the year. I love going for long walks in the slightly colder weather, with all the crunchy leaves under my feet.
I personally think that autumn is the most beautiful season, and the perfect backdrop for creative portraits.

Autumn feels like such a fleeting season, and it can be quite easy to miss opportunities to photograph in locations when they’re at their best. This year in particular, many trees were at their best a week or two earlier than last year. So it is important to keep track of your favourite locations in case they show signs of autumn earlier than expected.

These images were taken in a park in Southampton, but there are locations all over, which I think are equally as beautiful. Depending on the type of tree, you can get beautiful yellows, oranges, and even reds if you’re lucky!
Autumn is the perfect time of year for a warmer backdrop for your portraits, especially if yellow, orange, or red is one of your brand colours.
What is your favourite thing about Autumn? I’d love to know!
