Headshot photography can be done anywhere, and while I lived in Southampton, I used the architecture and greenspaces around me to use as backdrops. As you’ll see, I’ve used a different location for each person, using colours and textures which I think compliment them well.
Before each shoot, I will get to know the person and what they like. I give ideas on what locations I think will work well, and listen to any ideas they may have too. I’m always open to try new locations, especially if it’s somewhere the person feels comfortable.
I like using locations in both Hampshire & Sussex, and I feel lucky that we have so many amazing locations. We have beaches, architecture from different time periods, beautiful parks, and even the South Downs as a backdrop. So any ideas you may have, there’s probably the perfect location closer than you think.
