It was lovely shooting Chloe and Josh’s Wedding last month, the first one of the year! I first met them a couple of years ago when I was looking for couples to photograph on Bognor Beach. I then shot their engagement photos, and now their wedding.
I feel so grateful for receiving a First Class Honours in photography, and even more grateful for receiving the Rosy Maguire Graduate Prize. Rosy was a technician at Solent University and I was lucky to meet her at one of the many open days before starting the course. Her love of the darkroom and alternative techniques really showed and was inspirational to so many. Winning this prize means the world to me and is an absolute honour. I wanted to have something that represents this honour, something that I can look at everyday. So now I have a little award on my desk as a reminder each day of the amazing time at university and all of the amazing people I was able to meet.
“On June 03rd 2019, a group of friends who will be riding bicycles worth £25 or less from The Pink Pub in Bognor Regis to Pegasus Bridge, arriving in Normandy, France in time for the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
They are doing all of this to raise money for us, All Call Signs: A Peer Support Network for veterans and service personnel battling service related mental illnesses.”
While at university in Southampton, I was asked to photograph a gig at a local venue called The Joiners. The night included lots of different bands from the university, with a range of styles and genres.
